Are you an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist seeking an ongoing locum tenens assignment in eastern Wyoming? A 16-bed inpatient facility in Douglas is seeking a dedicated CRNA to provide full-time coverage starting December 1, 2026, through January 31, 2027, with high potential to extend further into 2027. Offering a guaranteed 40-hour work week, regular daytime hours, and zero call commitments, this assignment provides excellent practice predictability.

The Opportunity

Step into a community hospital environment, providing high-quality general and regional anesthesia care across a diverse surgical caseload.

  • Clinical Scope: Deliver autonomous and collaborative anesthesia services for adult and pediatric populations. Practice responsibilities include:

    • Administering regional, spinal, and general anesthetics for general, robotic, GYN, urology, GI, ENT, ophthalmology, and spine/neurosurgical procedures

    • Performing neuraxial techniques including spinals, epidurals, and post-op pain management

    • Directing invasive/noninvasive ventilation and airway management (ETT, tracheostomy, BiPAP/CPAP)

    • Handling specialized procedures such as bronchoscopy, fluoroscopy-guided blocks, and transforaminal epidural procedures

  • The Schedule: Standard daytime shifts (Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 3:00 PM ).

  • Guaranteed Hours & Call: 40 hours guaranteed per week with zero call responsibilities .

  • Technology: Operational order entry and charting managed through MEDITECH EMR .

Candidate Requirements

Candidates committing to full availability across the entire December 1 to January 31 timeframe will be prioritized.

  • Credentials & Certification: NBCRNA Certification; active Wyoming State CRNA License.

    • Note: State regulation specifies Certified Anesthesia Assistants (CAAs) are not permitted in Wyoming.

  • Life Support Certifications: Active AHA PALS and AHA ATLS certifications required; AHA ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges.

  • Procedural Proficiency: Demonstrated competency in spinal anesthetics, neuraxial lines, and complex airway/ventilation management. (Peripheral nerve block experience is preferred but optional).
