To ensure accurate coding and compliance, the full-time Certified Professional Fee Coder will code and abstract physician services in a remote setting, maintaining data quality and productivity while collaborating with medical records and billing departments. Key responsibilities Codes and abstracts professional fee hospital services according to relevant guidelines and maintains a 95% coding accuracy rate Performs data entry of physician information into specialty-specific databases and conducts educational sessions for medical staff on coding compliance Maintains up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines related to various physician services Required qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) preferred Minimum 1-3 years of experience in CPT/HCPCS physician procedural coding Experience with computerized patient record and coding systems is preferred Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS II, and CMS guidelines
