Key responsibilities Code provider office and hospital charges for various departments based on operative notes and procedural documentation Interpret and apply surgical guidelines for complex surgical services, procedures, and evaluation and management services Ensure compliance with official coding guidelines and payer standards Required qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 3 years of physician/professional complex surgical and E&M coding experience in a healthcare system or medical office setting Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification required Ability to pass internal coding test
