To support accurate patient documentation, the full-time remote Certified Pathology Coder will review medical records and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes while adhering to coding guidelines and meeting production goals. Key responsibilities Review clinical documentation to ensure accurate coding of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes in compliance with state and federal regulations Meet daily production and quality goals while maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders Required qualifications Two years of healthcare coding experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS classification systems Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or equivalent from an approved governing body Experience with automated patient care and coding systems, such as Cerner Electronic Health Record Proficiency in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment
