Certified Outpatient Coding Supervisor

To support a remote team, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coding Supervisor will assist coders and documentation staff with complex patient care cases, review medical records for coding errors, and serve as a technical resource for accurate coding standards and guidelines. Key responsibilities: Assist coders and documentation management staff by analyzing documentation and discussing correct code assignment Review medical records flagged for coding errors and identify opportunities for coder education Act as a technical expert for staff and external customers regarding coding and documentation standards Required qualifications: University Degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent experience in lieu of formal education Current certification as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC Strong outpatient coding background, including experience with outpatient/inpatient charts and coder auditing At least two years of people leadership experience Must maintain certification throughout employment
