To support accurate reimbursement for hospital clients, the full-time Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist will perform retrospective coding and billing reviews, provide timely responses to inquiries, and offer correction recommendations while working remotely. Key responsibilities Support internal and external customers with accurate and timely coding and billing responses Conduct retrospective coding and billing reviews on outpatient hospital claims Research industry changes and provide recommendations based on coding and billing guidelines Required qualifications AAPC or AHIMA Coding certification with 1+ years of hospital coding/auditing experience Understanding of Managed Care, Medicare, and Medicaid billing guidelines High school diploma or equivalent required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite Ability to navigate multiple software programs simultaneously
