Certified Orthotist & Prosthetist (CPO/CO/CP)

The Certified Orthotist & Prosthetist will provide comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care from evaluation through long-term follow-up. The ideal candidate is passionate about clinical excellence, building physician relationships, and helping grow a patient-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and clinical assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician prescriptions.
• Design, measure, fit, align, and deliver custom orthotic and prosthetic devices.
• Provide patient education, gait training, and follow-up care to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and medical necessity records.
• Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and rehabilitation teams.
• Participate in hospital rounds, physician clinics, and community outreach.
• Maintain compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, ABC accreditation, and company policies.
• Stay current with advances in prosthetic and orthotic technologies.
• Represent OPCA with professionalism while developing strong referral relationships.

Qualifications

• ABC Certification as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO), Certified Orthotist (CO), or Certified Prosthetist (CP).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Orthotics & Prosthetics program.
• Completion of NCOPE residency requirements.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver’s license with willingness to travel locally when needed.
