Certified Ophthalmic Technician

To manage a high-volume caseload across multiple ophthalmology subspecialties, the full-time Certified Ophthalmic Technician will evaluate medication barriers, coordinate payer requirements, and ensure documented resolutions in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Review and validate medication requests from various sources, including electronic systems and patient communications Differentiate and research various medication access barriers while preparing and submitting accurate requests Communicate status updates and coordinate next steps with clinical and non-clinical partners, maintaining thorough documentation Required qualifications Completion of Ophthalmic Technician training and certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician by JCAHPO BLS Certification Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology, eye diseases, and treatment protocols Ability to assess patient symptoms and prioritize care based on established clinical guidelines Proficiency in documenting patient encounters within electronic medical records
