Location: Rye, NY
Schedule: Per Diem (some weekend/holiday flexibility required)
Pay: $40.20
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am to 4Pm

What You'll Do
  • Provide occupational therapy treatments following the OT's plan of care (therapeutic exercises, functional training, ADLs).
  • Document treatment sessions and progress notes accurately and on time.
  • Help supervise and direct Therapy Aides during resident care.
  • Collaborate with the Rehab team, nursing, and physicians to support resident goals and safe discharge plans.
  • Fit, adjust, and train residents on assistive devices (walkers, reachers, adaptive equipment) and check for safety and function.
  • Safely transport residents to and from the Rehab department and throughout campus as needed.
  • Follow all infection control practices, safety policies, and resident rights.
  • Participate in in-services and ongoing education to keep your skills sharp.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and team members-kindness and patience are a must.
What You'll Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate Degree program.
  • Current NYS COTA license/certification (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Genuine interest in working with older adults in a rehab/long-term care setting.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, stay calm under pressure, and adapt to changing resident needs.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using electronic medical records.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs and assist with occasional heavier transfers with help.
  • Ability to push/pull wheelchairs up to ~200 lbs for short distances.
  • Sufficient hearing and vision (with or without assistive devices) to safely provide care and communicate with residents and staff.
