Apex Staffing Services LLC is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for ongoing assignments at skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities across downstate New York. Whether you're looking for stable full-time work, flexible per diem shifts, or contract assignments to keep your schedule open, we'd love to talk.

What you'll do As a CNA on assignment with Apex, you'll provide direct resident care at our partner SNFs, including:

Assisting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transfers, feeding

Taking and recording vital signs

Repositioning residents per facility protocols to prevent pressure injuries

Reporting changes in resident condition to the charge nurse

Documenting care accurately in the facility's medical record system

Supporting the nursing team and rehabilitation staff with resident care plans

Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents

What we're looking for

Active NY State CNA certification in good standing (verifiable through NY State Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry)

High school diploma or equivalent

Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain before start date )

Up-to-date immunizations and ability to complete pre-assignment health screening (TB, MMR, Varicella, Hep B, Tdap, annual flu, COVID-19 as facility requires)

Ability to pass criminal background check and drug screen

Eligible to work in the United States

Strong communication skills, patience, compassion, and respect for residents and their families

Reliable transportation to assignment locations

Preferred (not required)

1+ year of SNF or long-term-care experience

Experience with EMR documentation systems (PointClickCare, MatrixCare, etc.)

Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Mandarin, Yiddish, Haitian Creole, Bengali, or other languages commonly spoken)

Available for weekend and overnight shifts
