Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide one-on-one in-home care for a client in Arlington. This role focuses on personal care support, mobility assistance, and working alongside a skilled nursing team to ensure the client’s comfort and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide mobility support, including use of sit-to-stand equipment (also functions as a Hoyer lift)
- Reposition/turn client every 2 hours to prevent pressure injuries
- Assist with meal preparation and light support during mealtimes
- Support wound care by following care instructions provided by the Registered Nurse (wound care nurse visits 2–3 times per week)
- Monitor and report any changes in condition to supervising nurse/agency
Important Note on Wound Care:
This position involves assisting with wound care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Tasks are limited to maintaining cleanliness and following established care plans. All care must remain within CNA scope of practice and agency policy.
Qualifications:
- Active CNA certification in the state of Texas
- Experience with personal care and mobility assistance preferred
- Comfortable using transfer equipment (sit-to-stand/Hoyer lift)
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and nurse instructions
- Dependable, attentive, and compassionate
