Do you want to be part of team that strives to create experiences that celebrate our seniors?Clearwater Highland Park is a premier luxury senior living community in Dallas, TX and is looking for full-time Certified Medication Technicians to join the team!Clearwater Living associates enjoy great benefits:Excellent benefits401(k) contributionsPaid Vacation and Sick leaveExciting opportunities to growDynamic and fast paced environmentCulture of people first and service alwaysThe Certified Medication Technician is responsible for documenting, delivering and administering medicines to residents as prescribed by physician(s) with superior customer service and in accordance with all policies, procedures, government regulators and guidelines.ResponsibilitiesAssist residents with their daily medications, treatments and resident care as assigned and with the scope of practice, policy and procedures, and government regulationsObserve, verify and document that medication is ingested or applied as directedNotify supervisor if prescribed medication is not administered according to directions and documenting the reason(s) whyMaintain clear, accurate, complete and confidential records on resident medication and care in accordance with established procedures and governing requirementsCoordinate medication services with resident, pharmacy and physician(s) and verifying dosages with physician prior to dispensingTrack all orders for medication changes and/or refills – prepare medications for distribution up to 24 hours in advanceParticipate in and complete narcotic counts at the beginning and end of shift, reporting any and all discrepancies to supervisor(s) immediatelyAssist caregivers in the performance of their job duties and assume caregiver activities and responsibilities when neededRespond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident's self-respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentialityRead and follow care plans to ensure proper care is being given to their residentsAssist residents in their daily living activities including bathing, dressing, hygiene (including shaving, hair care, etc.), meals, activities, bowel and bladder functions (including taking to bathrooms, portable commodes, changing incontinence products, etc.)Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, and clearing traysTransport residents as necessary assisting them into and out of bed, wheelchairs, etc. following all safety/lifting and transferring techniques – escorting them to/from meals, activities, or other transportation needs as requested or assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED requiredSuccessful completion of medication administration trainingA minimum of one year of work experience as a Caregiver or Medication TechnicianCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferredActive First Aid/CPR/BLS Certification requiredBackground clearances as required by government regulationsMust meet health requirements, including TBClearwater Living is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
