Job description:
We are hiring Medical Assistants to provide support in the Mental Health Unit of a Correctional Facility.
Key Responsibilities
Assist primary care providers, psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health staff during assessments and procedures.
Collect and record vital signs and patient observations.
Prepare patients for mental health evaluations and treatments.
Escort patients to and from clinical appointments while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Administer medications and treatments as directed within the defined scope of practice.
Observe, report, and document behavioral and clinical symptoms accurately.
Maintain patient privacy and adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards.
Support therapeutic interventions and provide comfort care as needed.
Assist with patient interviews and collect health histories.
Manage clinical supplies and ensure exam rooms are fully prepared.
Recognize and report any unusual behavior, potential incidents, or security risks promptly.

Experience:
Medical Assistant: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
AMT, AMCA, AAMA, CCBMA, NCCT (Required)
