Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a full-time, contract basis. This position offers a unique itinerant schedule throughout the district, allowing you to make a positive impact across multiple campuses while helping students to thrive in their communication goals. The ideal start date is March 16, 2026, just ahead of Spring Break.
In this role, you'll work 30 to 35 hours each week alongside a dedicated supervising Speech-Language Pathologist. With a focus on supporting students using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, your expertise will play a vital part in each student's success. You will be reimbursed for weekly travel, typically ranging from 40 to 50 miles.
Qualifications:

  • Active SLPA certification and state license required
  • Previous experience with AAC devices preferred
  • Strong commitment to serving school-aged children
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage an itinerant schedule and adapt to multiple school environments
Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech-language services to designated students under supervision, following treatment plans
  • Support teachers, staff, and families in understanding and utilizing AAC devices
  • Maintain accurate session notes, data, and progress documentation
  • Travel between sites within the district and manage your weekly schedule efficiently
  • Participate in regular meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions
