Certified Hospitalist Coding Specialist

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Hospitalist Coding Specialist will provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across various specialties while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining high accuracy and productivity standards. Key responsibilities Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels and recognize critical care cases based on patient acuity Participate in ongoing training and maintain compliance with ethical coding standards and company policies Required qualifications Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to manage spreadsheets and emails effectively Must have a reliable internet connection and current coding materials Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
