To support the Corporate Revenue Cycle, the full-time remote Certified DRG Specialist will review clinical documentation for accurate DRG assignment, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations while collaborating with various departments to facilitate timely reimbursement. Key responsibilities: Review and evaluate medical records for accurate DRG assignment, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines Coordinate DRG reimbursement issues among coding, nursing administration, and other affected departments Prepare monthly productivity reports and provide training on accurate DRG assignment to coding personnel and medical staff Required qualifications: 3 years of clinical acute care medical/surgical experience or completion of RHIA/RHIT/CCS program with 3 years of DRG experience 3 years of inpatient coding experience preferred Knowledge of DRG methodology and computer technology Licensure or certification as CCS, CPC, RHIA, RHIT, RN, or MD required Professional communication skills with healthcare providers and staff
