Certified Coding Team Lead

Combining hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities, the full-time remote Certified Coding Team Lead will mentor coders, oversee quality assurance, and engage with clients to enhance coding practices and ensure compliance. Key responsibilities Interface with clients and internal Revenue Cycle teams to assist with inquiries and support coding best practices Review production coder work for quality and provide constructive feedback to enhance coding accuracy Assist in managing client relationships, including addressing escalations and conducting coding reviews to improve client satisfaction Required qualifications Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC, COC, RHIT, CCS, etc., no apprentice designation) Successful completion of formal education in ICD-9-CM/ICD-10/CPT coding, medical terminology, and anatomy/physiology Five years of outpatient surgical coding experience One year of team lead experience or demonstrated leadership qualities Minimum of two years of acute care coding experience across all patient types, with strong inpatient coding experience
