Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Certified Coding Educator will research coding and documentation guidelines, develop training materials, perform audits, and provide education sessions to ensure compliance with coding standards. Key responsibilities: Research and compile coding and documentation guidelines into user-friendly manuals Conduct education sessions on specialty-specific coding and documentation guidelines Track and analyze internal and external audits, reporting trends to management Required qualifications: Associate degree or 3 years of experience in a medical coding/validating role Certification required: CCS, CPC, RHIA, or RHIT; specialty certification is a plus Three to five years of progressively responsible experience in outpatient coding High level of knowledge in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding methodologies Experience with Epic is preferred
