To enhance coding education and audit functions, the full-time remote Certified Coding Educator/Auditor will manage coding audits, provide feedback and training to coding staff, and ensure accurate assignment of diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with coding principles. Key responsibilities Coordinate coding audits and educational programs while reviewing cases for accurate coding and compliance Manage edit and denial coding work queues, providing feedback and training to improve coding accuracy Monitor coding staff progress and keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting coding practices Required qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in physician and hospital coding, with at least 2 years in coding audits Associate's Degree in Health Information Management (HIM) required Certification as a Certified Inpatient Coder, Certified Professional Coder, and Certified Coding Specialist is required Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT/HCPCS coding principles and guidelines Experience in auditing, coding, and reimbursement training is essential
