Handling medical coding and data entry for various hospital visits, the full-time remote Certified Coding Advocate will assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes, review claims for medical necessity, and provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Key responsibilities Accurately assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room visits based on documentation and guidelines Review claims for medical necessity and create compliant physician queries Float between multiple coding specialties and maintain excellent customer service standards Required qualifications 2-year degree or equivalent experience; AHIMA or AAPC certification required Active credentials such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC Minimum of 1 year coding experience Meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
