Responsible for daily coding, auditing, and diagnosis-related group (DRG) validation, the full-time Certified Coder (Remote) will ensure accuracy and compliance with outpatient standards while working remotely. Key responsibilities Conduct reviews and provide recommended corrections for billed services, ensuring compliance with current coding guidelines Perform DRG validation based on clinical documentation and coding accuracy Collaborate with healthcare team members to maintain coding integrity and clarity in clinical documentation Required qualifications High school diploma or GED One or more credentials: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC) At least 1 year of inpatient medical coding experience with DRG validation Ability to produce detailed documentation and reports Passing scores on job-related pre-employment assessments
