Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Certified Coder - HB Inpatient will analyze complex clinical information to assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS codes across various care settings, ensuring compliance and accuracy in coding practices. Key responsibilities Perform coding for outpatient, surgical, and inpatient encounters, ensuring accurate DRG assignment and compliance with regulatory standards Review complex documentation, resolve discrepancies, and manage multiple work queues while maintaining coding accuracy and productivity Provide mentorship to coding staff and collaborate with CDI and providers to ensure alignment of documentation and coding Required qualifications Minimum of 1 year of coding experience High School Diploma or GED AHIMA-RHIA, AHIMA-RHIT, AHIMA-CCS, AAPC-CPC, AAPC-CIC, or AAPC-COC certification required Proficiency in applying ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT/HCPCS coding guidelines Ability to independently interpret clinical documentation to support coding accuracy
