Hybrid Part Time Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations

To support a hybrid work environment, the part-time Certified Coder - IL Licensed will review clinical documentation, apply correct coding and modifiers for services rendered, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. Key responsibilities Review and analyze medical records for accuracy in coding professional services related to clinic, inpatient, and outpatient settings Verify and code diagnoses, evaluation and management, and procedures using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Communicate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation and ensure timely posting of charges Required qualifications High School diploma or GED required; college degree in a health-related field preferred Minimum of 2 years of coding experience as a certified coder preferred Certification from AHIMA or AAPC (CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA) is required Expert knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, E/M leveling, Modifiers, and ICD-10-CM diagnostic coding Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and coding software such as EncoderPro
