Together, we can continue to provide exceptional care to our community.Duties:Review medical records and documentation to identify relevant diagnoses and proceduresAssign appropriate medical codes using ICD-9, ICD-10, and other coding systemsEnsure coding accuracy and compliance with industry regulations and guidelinesCollaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepanciesConduct regular audits to monitor coding quality and identify areas for improvementStay updated on changes in coding regulations, guidelines, and industry best practicesMaintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulationsAssist with medical billing processes as neededSkills:Proficient knowledge of medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10)Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and diagnosesStrong understanding of medical billing processes and reimbursement methodologiesExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignmentsAbility to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into accurate codesKnowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) coding is a plusExperience with medical collections or medical office operations is preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare providers and other team membersIf you are a dedicated Coding Specialist looking for an opportunity to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we invite you to apply.
