Working full-time in a remote capacity, the Certified Charge Capture Specialist will interpret clinical documentation to process charges for outpatient and inpatient care, assign appropriate ICD-CM and CPT codes, and maintain coding accuracy while adhering to official guidelines. Key responsibilities: Analyze medical records to determine appropriate coding and modifiers based on official guidelines Resolve incomplete or missing documentation to expedite coding and billing processes Participate in coding audits and maintain a coding accuracy rate of not less than 95% Required qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Successful completion of a Medical Billing and Coding Program Coding Certification in Professional Coding or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment Knowledge of ICD-CM and CPT coding systems, as well as third-party payer requirements Good organizational skills and ability to work independently within established guidelines
