Overview
Assists the Anesthesiologist in developing and implementing an anesthesia care plan for a patient. Performs duties established by the Board of Medicine under the direct supervision of an Anesthesiologist present in the surgical or obstetrical suite when procedures are being performed, and who is immediately available to provide assistance and direction to the CAA while anesthesia services are performed.
Responsibilities
A broad adult surgical practice with real variety: General Surgery, GYN, Ortho, Urology, Plastics, Podiatry, ENT, GI, Bronchoscopy, and Radiology. No cardiac, pediatrics, or thoracic cases. Some orthopaedic trauma. Practice at the full scope of your training, including arterial lines, central lines, and regional blocks. OB is optional for additional income. Collaborative Medical Direction ratio 1:1 to 1:4.
Schedule
- Four 10‑hour shifts preferred; other configurations negotiable.
- One weekend every 8 weeks.
- Home call once per week with a low callback rate.
- Optional OB shifts (days, nights, weekends) for those who want additional income.
Compensation
- Base $214k for new grads, more based on years of experience.
- $60k sign‑on bonus.
