n Responsibilitiesn

• n Participate in the delivery of anesthesia care under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist within the Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model.n
• n Perform pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and assessments.n
• n Assist in developing and implementing anesthesia care plans.n
• n Monitor patients throughout surgical and procedural interventions.n
• n Manage airway, hemodynamic, and physiologic parameters throughout the perioperative period.n
• n Document patient care in accordance with organizational, state, and federal requirements.n
• n Collaborate with anesthesiologists, nurses, surgeons, and procedural teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.n

n Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:n

• n Anesthesiologist Assistant license issued by the state of Wisconsin, andn
• n Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA-C) certification issued by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) needs to be obtained within 18 months, andn
• n Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, andn
• n Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, orn
• n Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).n

n Education Required:n

• n Master's Degree in Anesthesia.n

n Experience Required:n

• n No experience required. Experienced AAs and new graduates are encouraged to apply.n

n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:n

• n Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective member of a health care team.n
• n Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment while managing multiple demands.n
• n Excellent communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with and establish/build relationships with physicians and other staff.n
• n Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.n
• n Intermediate computer skills.n
