n Responsibilitiesn
- n Deliver anesthesia care under the medical direction of an anesthesiologist within the ACT model.n
- n Perform patient evaluations and assist with anesthesia planning.n
- n Monitor physiologic status before, during, and after procedures.n
- n Assist with airway management and perioperative care.n
- n Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and procedural teams.n
- n Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.n
- n Support safe, patient-centered care throughout the perioperative experience.n
n Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:n
- n Anesthesiologist Assistant license issued by the state of Wisconsin, andn
- n Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA-C) certification issued by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) needs to be obtained within 18 months, andn
- n Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (ACLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, andn
- n Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required, orn
- n Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).n
n Education Required:n
- n Master's Degree in Anesthesia.n
n Experience Required:n
- n No experience required. Experienced AAs and new grads are welcome to apply.n
