Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and implement a variety of recreational activities, including arts and crafts, games, and entertainment programs, in a Long-Term Care (LTC) and Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create individualized activity plans that meet the unique needs and abilities of each resident
• Conduct pre-activity assessments to identify and accommodate resident needs and limitations
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities and make adjustments as necessary
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity schedules
• Participate in resident care conferences and contribute to the development of individualized care plans

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Certified Activity Director (CAD) in the state of Texas
• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field
• Minimum (insert minimum years of experience) years of experience as an Activity Director or in a related field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Compassionate and understanding approach when working with residents, families, and staff
• Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
• Ability to lift, bend, and move with ease to interact with residents and participate in activities
