CEO-In-Training, Executive Director

Pinnacle Senior Living, part of The Pennant Group, is looking for experienced leaders who are ready to take the next step in their careers and learn how to lead a senior living community.

We are especially interested in leaders with experience in healthcare, hospitality, logistics, operations, or other environments where leading people and managing day-to-day operations are a big part of the job. Senior living experience is helpful, but it is not required.

About the CIT Program

The CEO-in-Training program is designed to give experienced leaders the opportunity to learn the business of senior living while working alongside an experienced Executive Director/CEO.

The initial leadership development portion of the program is approximately 12 weeks . The length of the overall CIT experience can vary depending on your background, experience, development needs, and available leadership opportunities. Leaders who are new to senior living may spend additional time in the program gaining experience and preparing for an Executive Director/CEO position.

This is a hands-on program. You will be involved in the day-to-day operation of a community and will have the opportunity to learn and contribute across the business.

During the program, you will:

• Work alongside an experienced Executive Director/CEO
• Learn the day-to-day operations of an assisted living, independent living, or memory care community
• Work with department leaders and frontline employees
• Learn how staffing, customer experience, clinical services, compliance, and operations come together
• Gain experience with financial and business performance
• Lead projects and work on real operational challenges
• Build relationships with residents, families, employees, and community partners
• Learn the state regulations and requirements that apply to senior living
• Receive ongoing coaching, feedback, and support as you develop your leadership skills

The goal of the program is to prepare you to successfully lead a community. The timing of that transition will depend on your experience and readiness, as well as available leadership opportunities.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for leaders who have demonstrated success leading people and managing operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, logistics, operations, or a related field
• Experience hiring, developing, and leading teams
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• A track record of taking ownership and delivering results
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Willingness to learn the senior living industry
• Willingness to relocate based on available leadership opportunities
• Ability to obtain any required state licensing, as applicable

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing a complex or multi-department operation
• Experience with financial or business management
• Healthcare or senior living experience
• Business development or customer relationship experience

Compensation

CIT is a salary position with full benefits.

The CIT program is approximately 12 weeks for the initial leadership development portion, with the opportunity to remain in the program longer based on individual development needs and available leadership opportunities.

Executive Director/CEO positions include additional incentive opportunities.

Location: Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, California, Texas and Wisconsin.
