Events, Communications & Marketing InternJob Purpose: Centro San Antonio is a nonprofit placemaking organization dedicated to creating a more beautiful, playful, welcoming, and prosperous San Antonio through programming, storytelling, and community engagement. This internship is a high-energy, hands-on role supporting all Centro events and initiatives, including festivals, programs, activations, and organizational campaigns. The intern will support event planning and execution while also contributing to communications and marketing efforts.
This role serves as a central support position working closely with internal teams, partners, sponsors, vendors, and community stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Events (All Centro Events and Programs)Support the planning, coordination, and execution of all Centro-led events and programsAssist with event logistics including scheduling, timelines, vendor coordination, and on-site operationsSupport event setup, breakdown, and live event execution across multiple event types and locationsCoordinate with internal teams, partners, sponsors, and vendorsAssist with post-event documentation and reportingCommunications and MarketingCapture content before, during, and after events, including photos, video, and short-form storytellingAssist with editing, organizing, and archiving marketing and media assetsDraft initial versions of marketing copy, event communications, and stakeholder updatesSupport branding and promotional efforts for Centro events and initiativesAssist with website updates and content managementStakeholder and Partner EngagementEngage professionally with staff, community partners, sponsors, vendors, and stakeholdersSupport communications with sponsors and partners related to event promotion and executionParticipate in meetings and on-site coordination as neededServe as a public-facing representative of Centro during events and community engagementsQualifications:Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management, Nonprofit Management, or a related fieldStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentClear written and verbal communication skillsInterest in events, marketing, storytelling, and community engagementFamiliarity with content creation tools is a plus but not requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration toolsWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsPositive, adaptable, and team-oriented attitudeWorking Conditions:Hybrid work environment with a mix of office, and on-site event workEvening and weekend availability required during event periodsAbility to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and remain active during event executionRequirements Contact: Priscilla Lopez
