What You'll Do
As a Central Office Technician, you'll assemble, install, and support critical telecommunications equipment in Central Office environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble and install equipment racks, bays, cabinets, and support structures
- Install power distribution systems, grounding, wiring, and cable management
- Complete detailed equipment assembly, wiring, and cable terminations
- Install and organize telecommunications equipment according to engineering specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
- Test equipment and troubleshoot installation issues
- Work alongside Lead Technicians, Foremen, Superintendents, and Project Managers to complete projects safely, accurately, and on schedule
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas
- Experience as a Central Office Technician with equipment assembly experience
- Knowledge of equipment rack installation, telecommunications infrastructure, wiring, and cable management
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong mechanical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
- Team-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship and job site safety
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Professional attitude and a desire to grow into Lead Technician or other leadership roles
