CDS Full Time Event Manager – Product Demonstration (Plano, Texas)

Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is seeking an Event Manager to recruit, hire, and supervise in‑store Product Demonstrators. You will oversee product preparation and presentation, train staff, and deliver excellent customer service. The role requires strong communication with warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators, and participation in new location grand openings.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and hire part‑time staff.
  • Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation.
  • Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer service.
  • Communicate between multiple managers, vendors, and demonstrators.
  • Participate in new location grand openings as required.
  • Direct all activities involved in successful events, promotion and sales of vendor products.
  • Communicate strategies and tactics to achieve sales, service, and operational excellence.
  • Support the maintenance and ongoing development of corporate governance framework, policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the District Manager to evaluate event performance metrics and make adjustments as needed.
  • Achieve defined revenue and net income objectives through sales activation, strategy and expense management.
  • Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty through improved operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments (or 3–5 years in a client‑side consumer‑packaged goods company).
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent leadership, communication, and coaching skills.
  • Proven ability to lead high‑performing teams and exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks with minimal supervision, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook, and web browsers.
  • NEHA Professional Food Handler Certification required; other food‑handler or safety certifications acceptable.
  • Physical and environmental requirements: capability to spend 66%+ of the workday performing physical activity, lift or push up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in refrigerated/freezer conditions; may be required to travel and drive.
