What you will do:
- Deliver orders to customer job sites or other requested locations while adhering to all safety procedures.
- Load and unload materials and return undelivered material to the warehouse.
- Notify QA Team and/or Supervisor of materials returned to warehouse.
- Label items returned to warehouse, noting of disposition i.e re-deliver, cancelled order, wrong material, etc.
- Check quantities of goods received and obtain proper signatures for deliveries.
- Transfer materials between OneSource warehouse locations.
- Project a positive company image when delivering directly to our customers.
- Coordinate the scheduling of deliveries.
- Care and maintain vehicles through routine inspections.
- Submit truck condition reports to leadership.
- Audit assembled items to confirm the accuracy of each delivery using the sales ticket.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations, particularly the hazards encountered with driving a truck.
- Understand and abide by the Federal Highway Administration Rules and Regulations for drivers where applicable.
- Maintain driver log according to D.O.T. regulations.
- Keep accurate records and submit expense reports for reimbursement of expenditures as required.
- Complete a Pre-Trip DVIR log.
- Schedule all necessary deliveries and pick-ups of materials and packages for the company using the most efficient and effective means.
- Assist the warehouse team with projects such as warehouse housekeeping duties, withdrawing merchandise to fill orders, preparing orders, organizing merchandise and stock.
- Act as a backup router, as needed. (Flexible hours may be required)
- Other responsibilities may be assigned.
What you will bring:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A or B) with a clean motor vehicle record.
- Ability to pass the DOT physical (for applicable driving positions).
- Experience in chaining and strapping, preferred.
- Multitasking and prioritization: capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
- Attention to detail: notice and address small details to ensure accuracy.
- Problem-solving skills: ability to analyze situations and find effective solutions.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish preferred: Clear and effective communication in both written and spoken forms.
- Ability to organize and plan tasks efficiently.
- Experience with truck mounted forklifts, preferred.
- Experience with MS Office, preferred.
- Experience with Eclipse, preferred.
Requirements and Work Environment:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
- Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand (up to 100% of the shift).
- Required to routinely lift and handle materials up to one hundred (100) pounds, unassisted.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Climb ladders, squat, and bend.
- Shift: 3:00am – 11:30am
- Location: This role is based in San Leandro, CA
- Salary Range: This is a non-exempt position and pays between $29.00 - $31.00 per hour.
