The Driver III is responsible for operating specialized vehicles to collect and transport solid waste materials from residential, commercial, and industrial areas to designated disposal sites. This position requires adherence to safety protocols, effective communication, and the ability to navigate designated routes efficiently.
Duties

• Operate commercial solid waste collection vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collect and transport residential, commercial, and industrial waste to designated disposal sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow assigned collection routes while maintaining productivity and customer service standards.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, routes, and daily activities.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and team members regarding route issues or operational concerns.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and other departmental duties as needed.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Able to pass screening requirements
