CDL Driver for Phase 2

Phase 2 Drivers

The Phase 2 drivers are expected to be able to safely operate a tri-axel straight truck and tractor-trailer tandems. Truck routes are within state-lines and vary day by day. Additional tasks include but are not limited to: performing DVIR of vehicles, operating conveyors to load trucks, washing trucks, and basic data entry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily vehicle inspection report on trucks/tractor trailers
• Load trucks/trailers with compost while operating conveyor controls
• Deliver compost to the customer farms
• Sweep, wash and sanitize trucks if necessary
• Basic computer skills to document truck destination and weights

Requirements:

• Valid CDL A license
• Clean and acceptable driving record
• At least 1 year of Experience

• Always required to see with or without corrective lenses
• Frequently required to utilize fine motor coordination in hands and arms
• Frequently required to lift up to 30 pounds; occasionally required to lift up to 70 pounds
• Occasionally required to balance, stoop or crouch
• Occasionally required to climb stairs

Work Environment:

• Always required to act professionally
• Always exposed to a variety of temperatures, weather conditions and sound levels, especially regarding damp and wet environments
• Regularly exposed to hazardous conditions requiring personal protective equipment

Cognitive Skills:

• Always required to think, evaluate and make decisions
• Occasionally required to analyze, study, compare and report

Employment offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, a physical examination, and compliance with all applicable DOT requirements, as appropriate for the position.
