CDL Driver - Express

Location: Marietta, GA
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Employment Type: Temporary-to-Permanent
Pay: 24-26

We are seeking aClass A CDL Delivery Driver to deliver HVAC supplies and equipment to customers within approximately a2-hour radius of the branch .

This is a100% driving position with a strong focus on customer service, safe material handling, and on-time deliveries. Vehicles are video monitored.

• Must be21 years of age or older .
• ValidClass B CDL or higher ; Class A CDL preferred/required based on assigned vehicle.
• Minimum1 year of CDL driving experience .
• At least1 year of experience operating the class of vehicle assigned.
• Must have the required state-issuednon-excepted interstate self-certification and be able to provide proof.
• Clean safety record and commitment to following DOT and company safety requirements.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Deliver HVAC materials and equipment according to scheduled delivery times.
• Validate delivery directions and routes.
• Safely load, secure, transport, unload, or assist with unloading materials as required.
• Ensure materials are properly secured and within applicable weight limits.
• Review delivery tickets and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Clearly communicate with your supervisor throughout the day.
• Pick up customer returns and verify products match the requested credit.
• Pick up local-purchase orders as needed.
• Secure and return packing lists and delivery documentation.
• Verify all materials have been delivered and properly placed at the delivery site.
• Review completed orders with the supervisor for accuracy and completion.
• Return all delivery ticket copies to the warehouse and ensure documentation is accounted for.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Comply with all applicableDOT regulations and safety standards .
• Fuel vehicles as needed.
• Report vehicle issues, moving violations, accidents, defects, or other safety concerns to management.
• Assist with warehouse operations as needed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Support company programs, goals, and initiatives.
• Work overtime as needed.

Depending on assignment, drivers may operate:

• 26 box trucks
• F-250 pickup trucks
• Vehicles with automatic transmissions

Class A CDL holders may operate the full range of qualifying vehicles permitted under their license.

• Standard hours:6:00 AM-2:30 PM
• Schedule may vary during busy/peak seasons.
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Overtime as needed

This position starts as atemporary assignment with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position based on performance, attendance, business needs, and available headcount.
