CDL Driver Position Summary:
Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck to safely and efficiently transport and deliver equipment between manufacturing facilities and retail locations.
CDL Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in proper working order.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or any damage to the vehicle promptly.
  • Verify all load-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service/repair status, and comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from the loading crew and ensuring proper placement of the vehicle and equipment.
  • Use lift equipment to load outbound freight safely and efficiently.
  • Perform material handling tasks when not actively engaged in deliveries.
  • Follow all company policies, safety regulations, and transportation laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
CDL Driver Experience and Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or (GED or High School Equivalency Certificate).
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Ability to meet Department of Transportation (DOT) certification requirements.
  • Proven track record of safe and satisfactory driving.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
CDL Driver Other Essential Skills:
  • Effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling equipment.
CDL Driver Work Environment:
