Job Description Job Description The rail ramp at 5200 Joliet Road in Mc Cook, IL is where every dispatch on this intermodal fleet starts and ends. Most of your work stays within a 65-mile radius of the ramp, with a mix of live load and drop and hook freight across multiple dispatches per shift. You drive a day cab, and tractors leave and return to the yard daily. Some dispatches run longer, up to 500-600 miles round trip, including regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI. Lane Details: Multiple dispatches in a typical shift Mix of live load and drop and hook freight Average dispatch within a 65-mile radius of the rail ramp Some dispatches up to 500-600 miles round trip Regional runs into OH, MI, KY, IA and WI mean a layover at least once per week Schedule: Home daily with 2 consecutive days off Typically 10-12 hours per day, 5 days a week Optional 6th day available Equipment: Day cab tractors You will need your own transportation to and from the yard in Mc Cook, ILWhy C.
