Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 months of tractor-trailer driving experience within the past five years.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current DOT Medical Card with at least one year certification obtained at the time of issue.
- Successful completion of a road test.
- Meets company driving record requirements.
- Acceptable responses from previous employment verifications.
- Successful completion of all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
- Safe driving record and consistent commitment to high safety standards.
- Safely drive a commercial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer)
- Value your safety, always comply with safety/operating policies and procedures
- Work well independently, and in a team setting
- Value a positive and respectful work environment
- Understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps our company viable
- Complete deliveries on schedule and interface with customers effectively
- Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same
- Work cooperatively and productively with supervisors and other associates to complete tasks
- Provide and inspire outstanding service to customers by maintaining attention to detail and completing assigned work in a timely manner
- Perform and document pre and post trip inspections and complete all necessary paperwork
- All other duties as assigned
- Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation
- Able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs. for touch freight positions
- Adhere to DOT Rules and Regulations
- Operate in a constant state of alertness, and safe manner
- Safely get in and out of the cab on your own
- Execute on-time pickup and deliveries
- Adhere to safety and quality standards on and off the road
- Interact in a positive and a professional manner with general public while delivering products to locations
