This role is perfect for a skilled professional with a strong background in lumber yard operations, capable of safely transporting materials, operating heavy equipment, and providing exceptional customer service.When you're looking for building materials, you can trust them with your needs with lumber, hardware, windows & doors, and kitchen & bath.What's in it for you?This is a direct hire position, and you will be employed by the company from your first dayFamily owned and operated companyWell rounded benefitsCDL A Driver/Material Handler Details:Direct hire position$20.00 to $30.00/hourFull time work availableFirst shift (Monday through Friday)Operate CDL A commercial vehicles to transport lumber, building materials, and freight to customer locations and job sitesEnsure strict compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policiesPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and promptly report any maintenance needsProficiently operate forklifts (including Utility Lift/Telehandler), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to efficiently load and unload trucksSafely move, stack, and organize various lumber products, panels, and building materials throughout the yardVerify order accuracy against pick tickets and ensure materials are correctly staged for delivery or customer pickupPerform heavy lifting, frequently handling items weighing 50-100 lbs, including lumber, hardware, and construction suppliesMaintain a clean, safe, and highly organized lumber yard environmentAssist with accurate inventory counts, stock rotation, and replenishment of materialsCut lumber or prepare custom orders as required to meet customer specificationsAdhere to all safety protocols, including properProfessionally assist customers with locating materials, safely loading purchases, and answering basic product questionsProvide courteous and efficient service to contractors, homeowners, and delivery clientsAnd more!CDL A Driver/Material Handler Qualifications:Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A) with a clean driving recordCertified or highly experienced forklift operator, particularly with Utility Lift/TelehandlerProven ability to perform general labor and heavy lifting; strong physical stamina requiredDemonstrated customer service experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively outdoors in various weather conditionsStrong safety-focused mindset with experience following OSHA and yard safety standardsWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
