Express Employment Professionals of Ithaca NY is recruiting dependable and hardworking CDL Drivers (Class A or B) for multiple openings with construction and excavation companies throughout the Ithaca and surrounding areas. This position combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on construction labor, making it a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working both on the road and in the field. As a CDL Driver/Laborer, you will safely transport equipment, materials, and supplies to and from job sites while assisting crews with a variety of construction-related tasks. Candidates with experience operating manual transmission vehicles are strongly preferred. Job Duties:
* Safely transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites
* Operate CDL vehicles in accordance with all company regulations and safety standards
* Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently
* Assist with general construction, excavation, utility, landscaping, site development, or laborer duties as assigned
* Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
* Operate hand tools, power tools, and other job site equipment as needed
* Support crew members with project setup, cleanup, and material handling
* Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and required documentation
Qualifications:
* Valid CDL Class A or Class B License required
* Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safety
* Manual transmission experience preferred
* Previous construction, excavation, landscaping, utility, or heavy labor experience preferred
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to assist wherever needed
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
