CCU & Non-Invasive Cardiologist – Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program (CVRR)

Atlantic Health, one of New Jersey's largest integrated health care systems, is seeking a CCU & Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join the Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program at Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey. This unique opportunity combines non-invasive cardiology with advanced cardiovascular critical care, offering the chance to practice within one of the region's premier cardiovascular programs. The successful candidate will work alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care to patients with complex cardiovascular disease.

The physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care as part of the Cardiovascular Rescue & Recovery Program. The role includes approximately 12–14 weeks per year of Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) coverage at Atlantic Health Morristown, caring for patients with acute cardiac conditions, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and post-cardiac intervention needs.

Additional responsibilities include teaching residents and cardiology and critical care fellows, supporting community education and outreach initiatives, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and adhering to all applicable hospital, regulatory, and professional standards.

Salary Range: $425,000–$450,000 base salary only; excludes any quality and/or productivity incentives.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular care.

Deliver approximately 12–14 weeks per year of CCU coverage at the facility.

Care for patients with acute cardiac conditions, cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and post-cardiac intervention needs.

Teach residents and fellows in cardiology and critical care.

Support community education and outreach initiatives.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and adhere to all applicable standards.

Qualifications

• BE/BC in Cardiology
• Must have critical care training or advanced heart failure training with focus on cardiac critical care
• New grads are welcome to apply
• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New Jersey
• Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven group
