Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and logistical support for Catholic Religious Education programs.
- Coordinate scheduling of classes, instructors, facilities, and instructional materials.
- Prepare and distribute religious education calendars, announcements, and communications.
- Maintain student registration records, attendance logs, and program documentation.
- Assist with sacramental preparation activities and related recordkeeping.
- Coordinate volunteers and catechists, ensuring compliance with background checks and required training.
- Prepare classrooms and instructional materials in accordance with program needs.
- Track and report participation metrics and submit required reports to chapel leadership.
- Support special religious education events and seasonal programs as required.
Education and/or Experience
Required
- Experience supporting Catholic religious education or parish programs.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work professionally within a military or government chapel environment.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to successfully complete background checks and installation access requirements.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious studies, education, or a related field.
- Experience working with Catholic catechetical programs or faith formation initiatives.
- Familiarity with Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) policies and procedures.
