Job Description
Radiologic Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab
Schedule
M-F between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. One to two weeknight call shifts, and every fourth weekend.
Job Description
The Radiologic Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during procedures. This role involves meticulous preparation and monitoring of the procedural environment, as well as adherence to infection control protocols. The technologist will operate equipment, assist in procedures, and document all relevant data accurately.
Responsibilities

• Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.
• Prepare patients and equipment for utilization of sterile technique.
• Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.
• Provide patient comfort while familiarizing them with the equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
• Apply necessary monitors and prepare access sites with sterile drapes.
• Utilize sterile and aseptic technique during procedures to prevent infections.
• Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, evaluating reports to confirm values are within established safety limits.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited radiology program - Education verification required.
• AART registration.
• Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
• Cardiovascular Technologist registration.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
