Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Category Manager – Electrical Components to join our Procurement Organization. The Procurement Category Manager will work cross functionally within International interfacing with R&D, Program Management, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Risk Management, Finance, Aftersales, and Supply Chain. As Category Manager you will be responsible for developing and implementing the category sourcing strategy, driving cost reductions, supply base management and negotiating agreements.Position is OnsiteResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute category strategies to align with International’s business objectivesLead strategic sourcing decisions and supplier selection for new product launches as well as current business for improved cost, quality, or delivery opportunitiesAnalyze category spend to identify and develop savings opportunities using a variety of procurement levers including competitive bidding, global sourcing, negotiation, technology, supply chain/footprint optimization, target costing, etc.Research industry trends, global markets, benchmark data, and understand underlying cost driversNegotiate with suppliers to achieve best overall total cost of ownershipExecute legal agreements such as Comprehensive Supply Agreements and Development AgreementsBuild strong strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure product quality, on time delivery, and service meet or exceed expectationsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree and at least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceORMaster's degree and at least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceORAt least 8 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experienceAt least 1 years of lead experienceAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
