To support analytical efforts in risk assessment, the full-time Catastrophe Risk Modeler will model catastrophe risk and portfolio exposure for property and casualty insurance, providing analytics for underwriting, pricing, and enterprise risk management in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Model catastrophe risk and portfolio exposure for direct property and casualty and reinsurance activities Provide analytics to support underwriting, pricing, and enterprise risk management initiatives Report findings to the Reinsurance Actuary and collaborate on risk assessment strategies Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, meteorology, finance, economics, data science, actuarial science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience 1-2 years of experience in catastrophe modeling, exposure management, or related quantitative analytics Knowledge of catastrophe modeling and exposure management techniques Experience with insurance or reinsurance portfolio analytics preferred Relevant designations such as CPCU or ARe are a plus but not required
