Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency CT imaging procedures
n n - n
Review imaging orders and evaluate exam appropriateness based on patient history and clinical indications
n n - n
Verify patient identification using established hospital protocols
n n - n
Perform IV placement for contrast-enhanced procedures
n n - n
Produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety
n n - n
Assist with X-Ray procedures when needed
n n - n
Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Maintain accurate documentation within EPIC
n n
Qualifications

Minimum 1 Year of Pediatric CT Experience Required

Minimum 1 Year of CT Experience Required
n n - n
Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License Required
n n - n
ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) Certifications Required

BLS Certification Required

Proficiency in IV Placement

Experience with radiology systems and applications preferred

Ability to assist with X-Ray procedures as needed

nThe CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
nMinimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.

Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging

A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications

Current CPR if applicable
n n - n
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
