Cashier-Financial CounselorThe Cashier-Financial Counselor is responsible for providing patients with a positive financial experience by helping patients navigate and understand insurance benefits and potential financial liability.Serves as the point of contact for all financial assistance related questions. Communicates with patients to identify and understand financial patient information.Receives payments by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers. Issues receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
Records all GL payments.Assess the current financial situation of patients through the verification of patient insurance benefits. Determine the patient's financial ability to pay and explain insurance coverage and benefits to the patient.Assists in Patient Registration when needed.Full-Time, Monday-Friday. High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's Degree in Business Management or related acumen preferred. Two years experience in a hospital registration office preferred.
