- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or related field
- Full-time employed Case Management Physician role
- Inpatient setting focused on utilization review and care coordination
- 156 hours per month; approximately 15-16 shifts
- Majority 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM); occasional 12-hour shifts
- Round on inpatient census of 15-17 patients; max 22
- Average 12 patient encounters per day
- Perform admissions from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, and case management teams
- Support medical necessity reviews and level-of-care determinations
- Assist with discharge planning and length-of-stay management
